Company D, 1st Battalion, 4th Marine Division, RVN

Expert rifleman, leader, and purple heart recipient, Richard participated in many operations against insurgent Viet Cong communist forces while serving in Vietnam. His final active duty assignment prior to discharge was with MP Company, 2nd Marine Division, Fleet Marine Force, Camp Lejeune, North Carolina.

Enlisted 4 February 1966, Brooklyn, NY-Honorably discharged 23 January 1972, Camp Lejeune, NC
