Major, U.S. Army - Vietnam War
Headquarters, U. S. Army Intelligence & Security Command, Fort Belvoir, VA

A Tactical Intelligence Officer, Joe first trained as a Field Artillery Officer, followed by Area Intelligence, Advanced Military Intelligence, Instructor Training, and Basic Electronic Warfare Cryptology. He also served in Strategic Signals and Human Intelligence; and, in several overseas assignments. From Joe's service in Vietnam where he received the Bronze Star Medal, to the awarding of two Meritorious Service Medals later in his career, his service was exemplary.

Entered Active Duty 20 April 1964, Albany, NY-Retired 31 May 1984, Ft. Sam Houston, TX
