Hasta los años 60 del s. XX las murallas eran el lugar ideal para el trabajo de los cordeleros. Gracias al espacio alargado que las paredes dibujaban, aquí trabajaban hebras de esparo y de cañamos, con ruedas y poleas tejiendo las cuerdas en los fosos.
