The Medal of Honor
The Medal of Honor is the highest distinction which can be awarded to a member of the Armed Forces of the United States. It is presented by the President in the name of Congress to an individual who, while serving in the Armed Forces, distinguished himself conspicuously by gallantly and intrepidity the risk of his life above and beyond the call of duty.
