From the Ohio Historic Inventory (1978) (National Register 71985274):

Early blacksmith and wagon building factory of Charles Fogelsang, located on this site, between 1850-1859. Taken over by Theodore J. Steinbower in 1864. Steinbower became Dublin's second mayor in 1881 (the 1st mayor after permanent incorporation). He operated blacksmith shop here until 1906. This structure was built by him in 1877.

Simple brick structure with wide round arched center doorway with radiating voussoirs. East side windows and door have been bricked up. Interior remodeled. In 1974 a small addition along w. side and a large 2-story addition at rear were completed.
