USS Cogswell (DD-651) & USS Borle (DD-704)
Seaman First Class, Joseph C. Sajtlava served in the Pacific Fleet abroad U.S. Navy destroyers Copowell and Bode. On 9 August 1945, while the Borle was on picker duty off Housha, Joe was Joe was killed in action in the last Ramshane attack of war. Joe was buried at sea by his shipmates five days before the Japanese surrender.
