William Mansel Long, Sr.'s accomplishments and legacy will shine a favorable light to future generations in Tuscumbia, Alabama.
Therefore, I, Kerry Underwood, as Mayor of the City of Tuscumbia, Alabama, and we, Katherine Logan, Agnes Geraldine Thompkins, William Foster, Jeffrey Scott Smart, and Michael Isom, as members of the City Council, erect a plaque in honor of the accomplishments of William Mansel Long, Sr. that shall proclaim that a portion of East 10th Street between Cave and High Street shall be also known as William Mansel Long, Sr. Memorial Drive.
