1. Freedmen's Bureau Marker
Inscription. Here, during Reconstruction years, were the offices of the Freedmen's Bureau. The building was, at different times, used as a harness shop, grocery store, barber shop and saloon, and for many years was a residence.
 
Erected 1963 by Arkadelphia Chamber of Commerce.

3. Former Freedmen's Bureau building
The Ashby store building served as the Freedmen's Bureau office in Arkadelphia during the late 1860s. Built in 1858, it was torn down in the 1970s.
