1. The Flannery House Marker
Inscription. Erected in 1899 by Thomas Flannery, the front portion of this building was originally used as a tourist boarding house. It was sold to the Catholic Women's Association in 1936. The rear half of the structure was added in 1940, and the building served as a dormitory for girls until 1988.

Regarding The Flannery House. The two-story Italianate and Colonial Revival house was built by Thomas Flannery, who was employed by J. B. Flannery Company, a real estate and lending firm. The San Antonio Express-News used the building until 2009, and parent company Hearst Corp. sold it several years later. As of late 2023 it is unoccupied.
