1. Nike Tomahawk Missile Marker
Inscription. This Nike Tomahawk missile never flew in space. "Sounding rockets" like this are often used to explore the upper atmosphere of the Earth. Instruments aboard such unmanned missiles collect weather data using on-board thermometers, barometers, and cameras and then radio these results to scientists on the ground.
