Trained as a B-29 Bomber Tail Gunner, and later, as a Demolitions Specialist and Fuel Boom Operator flying B-52's, "Lucky" served In many units and locations-from bases Stateside to Guam, Okinawa, Korea and Vietnam. He retired as NCOIC of the Fuel Systems Shop, 47th Tactical Fighter Squadron, MacDill AFB Florida.
