Local residents built this church, circa 1922. It was dedicated in 1924 as the First Methodist Episcopal Church of Fellsmere. In 1955 a storm destroyed the spire and cross and in 1990 the bell had to be removed. A grant from the Florida Department of State restored the original exterior and the spire. In 1994 the church was rededicated as Fellsmere Historical Church.
