Al voor 1730 was hier een wijntapperij annex kolfbaan. Het etablissement heeft de volgende benamingen gehad: 'De Katuil' - 'Van 't Klooster' - 'Van Es' - 'Wiegmans' - 'De Witte Griffioen', alias café 'Rinaldo' - 'De Jonge Prins' en nu 'Lotgenoten'.

Voorheen was er rechts een stalling voor paarden van bezoekers en kerkgangers. Tot 1944 vergaderde het polderbestuur van de Groot Duivendrechtse Polder hier regelmatig. Eeuwenlang waren deze tapperij en het inmiddels verdwenen café 'Zomerlust', nabij de Weespertrekvaart, de enige horecagelegenheden in Duivendrecht.

“Companions” Café

There was a wine tavern and kolf court here before 1730. The establishment has had the following names: 'De Katuil' - 'Van 't Klooster' - 'Van Es' - 'Wiegmans' - 'De Witte Griffioen', alias café 'Rinaldo' - 'De Jonge Prins' and now 'Lotgenoot'.

Previously, there was a stable on the right for horses of visitors and churchgoers. Until 1944, the polder board of the Groot Duivendrechtse Polder met here regularly. For centuries,

The marker is visible here on the small white building, between the two sets of doors.
is a Dutch sport played with a club and rubber ball, and was formerly much more popular in the Netherlands in the past than it is now. A polder is a low-lying tract of land, enclosed by dikes. Polders are very much dependent on skilled water management.
