Downtown Ventura in Ventura County, California — The American West (Pacific Coastal)
Elwell House
Historic Landmark No. 61
The Elwell house, built in 1892, belonged to William Elwell and his wife Edelfrido Tico Elwell, descendents of important California and Yankee families.
After numerous years of neglect, the house was rebuilt and enlarged in a style representative of the Vernacular Victorian architecture popular in Ventura at the turn of the century.
Erected by City of San Buenaventura Historic Preservation Commission. (Marker Number 61.)
