1. Wyatt Earp House Marker
Inscription. Built in basic Dutch design ca. 1855-1860 by brothers B.H. and J.H.H. Van Spanckeren who came from the Netherlands in 1847. B.H. operated, for a time, a general store on the first floor of the west row house. Nicholas and Virginia Earp and their children are thought to have lived in the east row house sometime between 1861 and 1864. The Earp family came to the Pella area in 1850 to farm. In 1864 the Earp family left Pella by wagon train for California.
Placed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1989.
