Mahanoy City Lodge No.695 BPOE was instituted on
May 22, 1901 with a charter membership of 31 members.
Their current home site was dedicated on May 27, 1916.
The first floor was the Elks Theater; second floor was
the grille, dining room, bowling alley and billiards.
The third floor was the magnificent meeting room.

 
Erected 2007 by Mahanoy Area Historical Society.

Regarding Elks Lodge #695. Thanks to a chance meeting in front of the Lodge with Linda Fetter, the lodge's Exalted Ruler, the contributor was able to view the ground floor interior, which orginally housed the Elks Theater.
