Over the course of his 21 year career, Chief Warrant Officer Mathewson was a Drill Instructor and a Paratrooper. While serving with the 101st Airborne Division, he was deployed to Iraq in support of Operation Desert Shield, Operation Desert Storm and Operation Iraqi Freedom. CW03 Mathewson was also deployed to Kosovo in support of NATO Combat Operations.
