1. Jewelers Row Marker
Inscription. Since the early 1900s, Jewelers Row has been an important center of jewelry, silver, and watch manufacturing and trade. These distinguished loft buildings and early 20th-century skyscrapers also reflect the development of Chicago commercial architecture.

2. Jewelers Row Marker
The CTA elevated train tracks above Wabash Avenue in this photo form the eastern side of the "Loop," for which Chicago's downtown district is named. A storefront for one of the many jewelers that still adorns this stretch of Wabash can be seen on the right. The 100-story Trump Tower can be seen on the left in the far background; Wabash Avenue juts left at its Chicago River crossing to go around the tower before heading north again.
