Nel glorioso meriggio del risorgimento nazionale 9 febbraio 1849 - la migliore giouenty italiana coppeua a morire sugli spalti di Roma repubblicana ispirata dall'infaticabile apostolo dell'unita Giuseppe Mazzini e Guidata dall'eroe nazionale giuseppe garibaldi. Roma combatte romanamente contro truppe agguerrite di quattro eserciti mentre un'assemblea costituente legiferaua sotto il tiro dei fucili rinnouando in un breve ma fulgidissimo periodo le glorie militari e le virtv civili di cui e costellata la storia millenaria della citta eterna. Per la meravigliosa epopla del 1849 roma ridivenne il centro e la fiamma delle italiane speranze indicando la via del nazionale riscatto. Nel centenario degli eroici avveniment! Sul colle capitolino ove suentola il gonfalone della repubblica il popolo di foma che nella recente tragedia della patria ha vissuto le memorabili ore del martirio e della riscossa riassume i voti gli eroismi i sacrifici di tytte le citta italiane che provate ma non scosse dalla suentura cooperarono alla redenzione d'italia.
