A Torpedoman's Mate, Ken served aboard the "Fightin Sub Chub" during the war with daty in both the Atlantic and Pacific Theaters of Operation. The Chub was awarded 3 Battle Stars for her war patrols and actions in the Java Sea where she sank 4,200 tons of Shipping rescued several downed pilots and though damaged avoided destruction from several Japanese attacks.
