Inscription.
Autrey House - Built 1849 - Oldest restored dogtrot log house in Lincoln Parish. Built on 200 acres by Absalom Autrey and his wife Elizabeth Norris Autrey after they moved from Selma, Alabama in 1848. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, October 10, 1980.

Erected by Lincoln Parish American Bicentennial Committee.

Autrey House
The house is an extremely rare two-story dog trot cabin. It is owned by the Lincoln Parish Museum & Historical Society, 609 N. Vienna Street, Ruston, LA 71270.
