El circ romà de Tarraco es va construir a finals del segle I dC i va estar en funcionament fins almenys el segle V dC. Llavors les seves voltes es van començar a aprofitar com habitatges, encara que potser l'arena continuava funcionant com a espai lúdic. No en va al segle VI dC es va prohibir al bisbe de Tarraco que assistís a aquesta mena d'espectacles.

Circo Romano
El circo romano de Tarraco se construyó a finales del siglo I dC y estuvo funcionando como mínimo hasta el siglo V dC. Entonces sus bóvedas se empezaron a utilizar como viviendas, aunque posiblemente la arena continuaba funcionando como espacio lúdico. No en vano en el siglo VI dC se le prohibió al obispo de Tarraco que asistiera a este tipo de espectáculos.

The Tarraco Roman circus was built at the end of the 1st century AD, and has been in use since at least the 5th century AD. From then the vaulted arches began to be used for housing, although the arena probably continued to be used

Cirque Romain
Le cirque romain de Tarraco fut construit à la fin du ler siècle ap. J.-C. et fut utilisé au moins jusqu'au Ve siècle ap. J.-C. On commença alors à utiliser ses arcades comme logements, mais il est possible que l'arène servit encore aux jeux. Il n'est donc pas surprenant qu'au Vle siècle ap. J.-C. l'évêque de Tarraco reçût l'interdiction d'assister à ce genre de spectacle.
