Inscription.
The Mediterranean design of the Green Man, the God of Fertility, was incorporated into this retaining wall and beautiful fountain. Malibu Potteries was once again responsible for the craftsmanship of this exquisite tile and Green Man sculpture.

The building at the top of the stairs was built in 1938 as a retreat for the Adamsons' son, Merritt, Jr. It is now used by our volunteer association as a gift shop. At the rear of the gift shop is a mural which depicts a scene of the ocean which one would see from that spot if the building were not there.
