Inscription. James Beauregard "Jim" Beam was the fourth generation bourbon distiller and most recognized member of the dynastic Beam family. Utilizing the Beam signature mash bill and knowledge passed down through generations of Beams since they began distilling in 1795, Jim proceeded to rebuild the distillery after prohibition and grow his family's business into the leading bourbon producer in the world.

A straight-forward, plain-speaking son of Kentucky, Jim Beam was passionate about two things: family and bourbon whiskey, to this day, his family and his bourbon live on.
