1. Eddy and Ann Knight Marker
Inscription.
Eddy Knight opened Knight Specialties in 1972, originally using his vehicle as an office and his family's garage and backyard for inventory storage. Later, Eddy opened Knight's first official stock point in Morgan City, Louisiana. Eddy relocated his family to Lafayette, Louisiana, and the company's headquarters to the current campus in 1974 on Hwy 90 between Lafayette and Broussard. The international growth of the company continued and acquisitions were made. In 1984, these companies merged their operations into what today is known as Knight Oil Tools.
Eddy's family was intricately involved with his ideas for growing the company. The family has kept true to Eddy's vision and succeeded in making Knight Oil Tools the largest independently owned rental tools company in the world.
Eddy was a fun loving individual, devoted to his family and his community. He is fondly remembered by the multitude of people whose lives he touched.
