Inscription. The City of Rossford was founded In 1898 as a company town for Edward Ford's Ford Plate Glass Company. As a company town, Edward Ford encouraged many minority groups to move to Rossford resulting in at least 18 different ethnic groups identified in Rossford and a majority of Eastern European heritage.
