Inscription. At one time there were three blacksmith and horseshoeing shops in Minster, including Busse & Berning. One gentleman recalled Joe Busse having a special rack for mean horses that needed shoeing. The horses were hoisted off the floor so they could not bite or kick during the blacksmith's work. Another memory from one little girl was of watching their work horses being shod, "I remember the red-hot sparks, the anvil and the horse-shoeing procedure...fantastic to a pre-schooler!"
