[north side] Dedicated Memorial Day, May 25, 1998 to honor all veterans of all wars and conflicts, of all branches of service, who fought bravely and gave their lives to preserve freedom and liberty in our land.
For those who have fought for our land, survived and remember those who have given the ultimate for their country, life has a flavor that others will never know.
[south side] A nation that honors its veterans is a nation dedicated to the preservation of a freedom won by the sacrifice of life itself. These emblems are appropriately dedicated to the valiant of the Armed Forces who ventured far, fought bravely and gave their lives to preserve freedom and liberty in our land. Together they have served and died in mute testimony to the manner in which they lived, worked and fought, to achieve the victories in order that America may live.
