More about this marker. The Fightin Texas Aggie Band Bugle Stand is a memorial to Cadet Edwin O. Bellinger 36. He was a Cadet at Texas A&M University involved in the Ross Volunteers, Fightin' Texas Aggie Band, The Aggieland Orchestra. He was killed on military exercise at Camp Bullis, TX on July 9, 1935.
Cadet Bellinger had been a Corps of Cadets Bugler his sophomore year. The bugle stand was originally located in front of the old Texas A&M YMCA building but was moved in front of the Corps Dining Hall in the early 1950s
