1. Jay County Marker
Inscription. Home of the state's first drilled gas well, Jay County produced a variety of glass items at the turn of the 20th century. Dunkirk is generally referred to as the "glass capital of Indiana." The beautiful stained glass dome in the courthouse in Portland dates to 1916.
