1. Greene County Marker
Inscription. In 1906, the Illinois Central Railroad built one of the world's largest railroad trestles to span Richland Creek west of Solsberry. Still in use, the trestle is 2,295 feet long and 180 feet high. Also, the Worthington area once could claim the nation's largest deciduous tree. "Big Sycamore" was a 150-foot-tall tree with a canopy diameter of 100 feet.
