He served heroically under General George Patton in World War II. A soldier, a leader, and a commander who was highly decorated while fighting for his country in WWII and Vietnam. Upon retirement, he established his personal consulting company. Known throughout the Vietnam era as the only officer who never changed his radio call sign, “Danger 79er,” he was revered by his troops and feared by the enemy as a warrior who was always on scene in times of need or times of immense peril. A man of character, honor and dignity, he gave a full measure of discipline to every aspect of his life. A role model and a motivator to all who knew and loved him. A great Texas Aggie!

Erected 1998.
