1. Dearborn County Marker
Inscription. Thomas Gaff, a prominent industrialist and civic leader, built Hillforest Mansion on the Ohio River in the 1850s. The "Steamboat Gothic" architectural style includes features typical of the "floating palaces" that graced the nation's rivers during the 19th century.
