1. Floyd County Marker
Inscription. A popular site near New Albany, the limestone hills at Floyd's Knobs sit 900 to 1000 feet above sea level and 600 feet above the Ohio River. In 1867, New Albany was home to America's first plate glass factory, revolutionizing the glass industry and decreasing the nation's dependence on European glass.
