Inscription. This cauldron commemorates the culmination of the Pan American Games Torch Relay on this Plaza in August of 1987. It honors the athletes who, by competing in our community, have given us the privilege of celebrating their triumphs, sharing in their defeats, and being inspired by their dreams.
