Sergeant, U. S. Army - WWII (WIA) & Korean Conflict Era
Headquarters Co., 1st Bn., 501st Parachute Infantry, 101st Airborne Division

Sergeant Hathaway jumped into Normandy, France on D-Day. He was also involved in battles in the Rhineland, Ardennes and Central Europe, and, was later wounded on 22 Sep 1944 while fighting in Holland. Subsequent WWII to he was assigned to Company “E”, 503rd Airborne Infantry Regiment at Ft. Campbell, KY training troops destined for Korea.
