1. “Senhora do Ó” Chapel Marker
Inscription.   Antiga capela de Na Sra da Piedade ou do Cais, deve o seu nome ao facto de ter sido transferida para aqui a imagem da Senhora do Ó, proveniente da capela da Porta da Ribeira, demolida em 1821. O edifício data do séc. XVII, tendo sido remodelado no séc. XIX após a destruição ocorrida durante as lutas liberais. No interior, destaca-se um retábulo em talha de inícios do século XVIII, da autoria de João da Costa.

The "Senhora do Cais" Chapel was built in the XVIIth century next to the old city harbour. In the XIXth century its name was changed to "Senhora do Ó" Chapel, when the statue of the Virgin Mary taken from the demolished chapel in Ribeira Square was re-erected in it. During the civil war (1832-33), it underwent some change.
