This marker is one of at least 13 identical 9/11 memorial markers dedicated around the country by Alderwoods Group, a funeral services company. While an article about the unveiling of this marker in Elmwood Park could not be found, it had to have been dedicated between 2002 and 2006, which were the only years the company existed. 1. Inaccuracy on the memorial
The Pentagon is pictured and attributed to Washington, DC. However, the building stands in Arlington County, Virginia.

While the Pentagon lies just outside of Washington, D.C., it will always be considered a major part of our nation’s capital (especially when attacked by a foreign enemy).
