Additional commentary.
1. About the train station
After additional renovations in 2011, the station was formally renamed the Joseph R. Biden, Jr., Railroad Station, in honor of then-Vice President Biden, who, while serving as Senator from Delaware, commuted to DC using the train, and advocated for its usage. However, in common parlance as of 2024, the station is usually still called Wilmington Station.

In addition to serving as Delaware's main stop on Amtrak, the station also serves as a major stop on the Wilmington/Newark line for SEPTA (Southeast Pennsylvania Transit Authority) Regional Rail. The line runs from Newark, Delaware to 30th Street Station in West Philadelphia.
