1. “Woodlawn” Marker
Inscription. Originally built 1837, and reconstructed in 1912 by Mr. Joseph Kirkland Singeltary, one of the early developers in Laurel Park. The Robinson family has owned the house and surrounding property since 1932. The house is characteristic of mountain summer homes built in the early twentieth century with round saddled notched logs, chinking, and steep gabled roofs. The original 1837 stone chimney remains. This property has been placed on the National Register of Historical Places by The United States Department of the Interior.
