1. Carnegie Center 1908 Marker
Inscription. The Crown Point Public Library opened in February, 1908 at this location. Andrew Carnegie donated $12,000 for construction of the community would commit to contributing annually to library maintenance. The Carnegie Building was adjoined by the new library facility on Court Street dedicated in January, 1973. This building was renamed Carnegie Center and continues to serve the residents of the Crown Point area.
