1. Igreja da Ordem S. Francisco / Church of São Francisco Marker
A construção da igreja do convento de S. Francisco teve início no séc. XIV. Tem a estrutura de um templo gótico, com reminiscências do estilo românico. Da frontaria podemos salientar a rosácea e o portal, este edificado já nos séc. XVII-XVIII em estilo barroco. O interior é revestido a talha dourada da mesma época. De realçar o retábulo do altar da capela de Nossa Senhora da Conceição, representando a Árvore de Jessé esculpida em madeira polícroma, assim como a capela de S. João Baptista da autoria do arquitecto Diogo de Castilho, de finais do séc. XV.

…In 1383, under the patronage of King Ferdinand I, the Franciscans began to build a more spacious church. This new structure was finished around 1425 and followed a relatively plain Gothic design, typical for the mendicant orders in Portugal. The general structure of the church has not been extensively altered, making São Francisco the best example of Gothic architecture in Porto.
