1. Nashville Bridge Company Marker
Inscription. Founded in 1902, the Nashville Bridge Company, also known as NABRICO, established an international reputation for building movable bridges. By 1915, NABRICO operated this section of river bank as a slip for launching and repairing ships that traveled the Cumberland River. During World War II, the company manufactured dozens of vessels for the U.S. Navy, and became the world's largest builder of inline barges by the 1960s. The company relocated to Ashland City in 1997.
