1. Daily News Building Marker

Inscription. The original federal style building on this location was built c.1850, with Italianate ironwork columns and lower level storefront windows added c. 1875, utilized as a hotel, the Citizen's National Bank, and the South Side Theatre, the structure was once again significantly remodeled in 1922 in the craftsman commercial style. The renovations took place to house the Greensburg Daily News Publishing Offices. The newspaper continued to operate out of this facility for over 50 years.
