1. Huber Building Marker
Inscription. Built c.1850, this Italianate commercial building was used to house the courthouse offices during the construction of the present courthouse from 1854 to 1860. It also housed a community center (Washington Hall) which doubled as the publishing site for the Saturday Review from 1879 to 1892. The 2nd floor featured out-cropping windows facing the city center. Mr. D. Silberberg opened the Cincinnati Clothing Factory here in 1884, selling the store to Mr. John Huber in 1906. The Huber Clothing Company continued until 1974.
