Inscription. 2nd Battalion, 1st Regiment, 1st Marine Division, 1st Marine Expeditionary Force. CPL Ebert was killed when the vehicle he was riding in was attacked by the enemy with an improvised explosive device while he was on patrol in Anbar Province, Iraq
