Am 1. April 1972 gründeten Dietmar Hopp, Hasso Plattner, Claus Wellenreuther, Klaus Tschira und Hans-Werner Hector das Software-Unternehmen „Systemanalyse und Programmentwicklung". Sie entwickelten die erste betriebswirtschaftliche Standard-Software für Großrechner. Nun konnten große Unternehmen die Daten aller Betriebsabläufe in Echtzeit verarbeiten.
On April 1, 1972, Dietmar Hopp, Hasso Plattner, Claus Wellenreuther, Klaus Tschira and Hans-Werner Hector founded the software company “System Analysis and Program Development”. They developed the first business standard software for mainframe computers. Now large companies could process the data from all operational processes in real time.
