Bulleit Ford Garage
This Art Deco style garage was opened by the Victor H. Bulleit Company on May 12, 1921. Its architecture is rated outstanding by Indiana Historic Landmarks. The garage was constructed by J. Fred Biggs of Scottsburg who built several other buildings in Corydon. The showroom and offices occupied the entire front along Chestnut Street, with the repair shops, store rooms, and public restrooms located in other parts of the building. In later years, the building was home to Mathers-Eckart Ford and R.C. Ford. In 1986, James Hodge of Detroit purchased the dealership and soon moved to a new facility on Highway 135 North. In 1996, LaDonna Frantz started Harmony and Health, a natural health center, in the front section of the building. Since that time, various businesses have operated in the rear of the building.
