Hinckley House
c. 1811 - 402 Hinckley Street
Asa Norton, fur trapper and trader, and his wife, Anna, built this house and planted the live oaks around 1811. After being damaged by fire, the home was rebuilt in the 1830's by steamboat captain Oramel Hinckley. The family cemetery, dating to 1803, lies at the rear of the home.
