Rond 1761-1762 door Pieter de Swart ontworpen patriciërshuis in opdracht van Anthony van Patras, Fries gedeputeerde ter Staten-Generaal. Vanaf 1814 bewoond door verschillende leden van de koninklijke familie, vanaf 1901 door Koningin-regentes Emma. Tijdens de regering van Koningin Juliana (1948-1980) fungeerde dit paleis ook als zenuwcentrum bij kabinetsformaties. Sedert 1991 bestemd tot museum.

(English translation:)
Patrician house designed around 1761-1762 by Pieter de Swart on behalf of Anthony van Patras, Frisian deputy to the States General. Inhabited by various members of the royal family from 1814, and by Queen Regent Emma from 1901. During the reign of Queen Juliana (1948-1980), this palace also functioned as a nerve center for cabinet formations. In use as a museum since 1991.
